City Pop Clara is located in a prime position at Webergasse 34, in the heart of Basel's historic district. This location offers easy access to the city's cultural and artistic attractions, with galleries, museums, and theaters just a few steps away. The area surrounding Clara Platz, where our building is situated, is rich in shops and restaurants and is known for offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity. The famous Marktplatz and the picturesque Rhine area are nearby, ideal for those who love to explore the city on foot. Basel's central station is easily accessible, making this building perfect for those who want to live in a central and well-connected location.

• Waste Room: In the commercial center. Accessible only during opening hours of
commercial center (MO-FR 08am - 8pm / SA 08am - 6pm).
• Parking: 20 parking spaces - each guest receives parking card and black remote upon
check-in, instructions sent through ticket every Wednesday

City Tax policy:

• City Tax is a compulsory tax that all tourists have to pay only for their first 30 days of their stay in the City of Basel.

• The Tax is paid immediately upon booking.

• In return, guests receive a Basel Card that offers discounts on public transportation and cultural events.

• The tax is currently set at CHF 4.20 per person per night (2026).

• Guests need to be registered by us in the AVS online portal every Thursday (even if they extend their stay).
• Guests must also be registered even if they have a temporary residence in Basel City.
• In the cases mentioned above, make sure to select the correct category when adjusting the AVS entry (Walk in – Wohnsitz in der Stadt Basel).
• If guests register themselves with the local authorities, they can send us their registration document (Anmeldebestätigung) and we will refund the City Tax and adjust the AVS system accordingly.
• Always ask guests to send the document to us.

• Important note: The Basel region is split into two different cantons, Basel-Stadt and Basel-Land.
• For all City Pop buildings located in Basel City, residents must provide proof of registration in Basel-Stadt. Registrations from Basel-Land are not valid.
